CONSTANTINE, Mich. — Police are looking for a new piece of information in the murder of 11-year-old Jodi Parrack. Parrack's mother found her body in a Constantine cemetery almost 5 months ago.

Investigators are asking the public to contact them if they know of anyone that suddenly left the area right after the crime happened on November 8. Investigators haven't said much about this case, because prosecutors say releasing too much information might hurt the case.

The seasons have changed since Jodi Parrack's murder, but the feeling of worry in Constantine hasn't.

“You still don't see a lot of kids walking to schools; a lot of parents are driving them,” said Kristi Lusk, a parent. "The lines are still long when you go to pick up your kids from school."

Jodi Parrack didn't come home the evening of November 8. Her mother called police, and later search groups fanned out across the town. It was Jodi’s mother who found the body, right near her bicycle.

Police say it was a homicide, but haven't said how she died.

For some parents in town, the lack of information is a concern.

“I hope that they find somebody," Lusk said. "I just wish they would let some of us know what's going on, because they never said why she died.”

St. Joseph County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Holly Curtis told WSBT News releasing too much information in the public would be unethical and harm the investigation.

“There are a lot of things the public hasn't heard,” Curtis said. “That doesn't mean that we're not continuing the investigation. We just can't disclose the evidence or where we are. We're working hard. We're doing the best we can. We want closure for the community. We want closure for the family.”

The county's Major Crimes Task Force and Constantine Police are constantly working on the case, and they've received more than 630 tips. If anyone has any information, they're asked to call the Constantine Police Department at (269) 435-4355 or St. Joseph County Michigan Central Dispatch at (269) 467-4195.

I honestly think it is right there, someone she obviously trusted.Maybe a supposed jealous friend and a helper. The stories that were given as to where she was going after leaving the "friends" house didn't add up at all, so why aren't they starting there?Or have they already. That was a beautiful young girl and my heart still aches for her being gone for her friends and parents.I think someone knows too and they need to come out with it already.Check who was also headed home at the same time!

Obviously you are oblivious to the village of Constantine and its residents / police. Ever been here? Next time you might consider learning at least a little something about the residents and the general opinion of the law enforcement efforts regarding this case before you trash them. Stop being a "sheep" and following the "why havent the police done their job" crowd. They havent cold cased this crime and they arent giving up. Thoes of us that raise our children here appreciate them for it.

Once again Barney Fife and his crew are trying to figure this case out--when are the real, professional law enforcement officals going to get really involved? Leave the guesswork to the grunts that are trying to write tickets to meet their quota; this has been a huge joke to date...Local law enforcement needs to do what they do best--go to Wesco and consume donuts and coffee!!!

First the police wanted the press to lay off, now they want them to talk about the case again. Something weird is going on here.

Someone out there besides the person responsible knows what happened to this innocent child. She didn't deserve to leave this world so early. HOw could anyone live with knowing this happened? I hope that if someone knows who is responsible for this they will come forward. Think about if this was your child, grandchild, or niece. You would want that someone to do the right thing. Someone needs to pay for her death. This person shouldn't be out on the streets able to attack again.
