SOUTH BEND — A former employee of the South Bend Juvenile Correctional Facility pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct Wednesday morning for having sex with a male inmate of the facility.

Julie A. Singleton, 34, a secretary in the facility’s education department at the time, admitted to having inter-course with a 16-year-old male inmate in 2006.

Under a plea agreement, Singleton would not serve more than 18 months in prison for the Class D felony. Judge Roland W. Chamblee Jr. is scheduled to sentence her May 14.
