A question, a reflection, and an endorsement. That's what musician Dave Matthews had to say on his official Web site, about a nation divided that needs a change, when he offered his endorsement for Illinois Sen. Barack Obama for president.

And when Matthews played at Indiana University in Bloomington Sunday, he offered more than his endorsement as he had the chance to take that message to young voters preparing to participate in the state's May 6 primary.

The "Change Rocks" event was set for 7 p.m. in Assembly Hall, where Matthews performed along with fellow musician Tim Reynolds.

Before the night was out, people from among the thousands who attended the free show were sharing the experience on the Web, posting their opinions to the blog at www.barackobama.com and sharing video clips of the show at www.youtube.com.

There, fans of Dave Matthews could watch him perform "Ants Marching" during a show designed to inspire voters to support Obama's candidacy for president.

And on his own Web site, Matthews encourages voters to register to participate in the elections — something Hoosiers will have to do Monday if they haven't done so already, because it's the final day to register for the Indiana primary.
