Two young children are in protective custody after police found an active methamphetamine lab inside their home.

Investigators raided a home on Lakeview Drive in Osolo Township, right off Simonton Lake.

Inside, they say they found an active methamphetamine lab operating, and dangerous mixtures of chemicals in almost every room in the house.

A 6-year-old and 3-year-old found in the home were taken to the hospital for treatment of exposure to the chemicals, and Child Protective Services took them into protective custody.

Michael Bowling, 33, and Christelle Chirwa, 27, were arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine. Chirwa was also charged with neglect of a dependent.

Police also believe the two suspects may have been selling meth.
