The trial of a convicted child killer and accused child pornographer is now underway in LaPorte County.

Police found a computer and disks with images of naked boys in Richard Dobeski's trailer in LaPorte last fall. They also say several children in his neighborhood visited his trailer.

Dobeski, 59 of Westville, is charged with child molestation and possession of child pornography.

A judge granted Dobeski's request to have a jury brought in from Porter County.

Dobeski was convicted of murdering two children in the 1960s. He appealed a life sentence, and wound up serving 40 years.

He now faces 11 more years if convicted on these latest charges.
