I had someone on a bike pull right out in front of me. I had to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting him. Would you believe it was a grown man who should have known better! He did not even slow down when he approched the intersection. SO I guess we better watch out for ALL PEOPLE ON BIKES.

bill and james thanks for the reminder of watching out for pedestrians and cyclists. The first couple of weeks of spring remind me of the first snowfall in the winter, you know when everyone forgets that they need too slow down. I would have never guessed my son would have been hit by a car. I told him how lucky he was and to say a prayer and thank his guardian angel. PS hes doing good hes got a banged up knee and ankle, and a nice bruise on his chest

A car is 2000 pounds, a kid on a bike is maybe 80. Watch out for the other people walking/biking on the road. You don't own it (and yes, they don't either.) The kid was very lucky not to be seriously hurt - too many cyclists are injured and killed due to the inattention of drivers. It is serious and needs to be treated that way.

I just hit a kid on a bike the other day. He turned in front of me without looking back. He wasn't hurt BUT the PUNK never stopped, he just rode off while I was sitting in the intersection. I was aware of my surroundings! He hit ME! They also need to watch!!!!!!
