SOUTH BEND — Students at Washington High School tried to bring home the message of safe driving Wednesday.

Students Against Destructive Driving (S.A.D.D) hosted a "Quick Click Challenge."

Students are paired in teams of four. They quickly go around the car and buckle up in all four positions. They are timed and the fastest team wins the challenge.

S.A.D.D. hosts the event every year with hopes of making teens more aware of the importance of safe driving.

"Remember to buckle up because it will save so many lives,” said Alex Lesniak, a student at Washington High School. “It can save your passengers and yourself and unfortunately you never know when someone is going to run into you and if you don't have your seat belt on it could be bad."

S.A.D.D. officials say teens are the least likely to buckle up.
