Michigan State Police arrested two Detroit teens after a high-speed chase in Berrien County early Saturday morning.

Authorities said an officer saw a vehicle traveling nearly 100 mph on I-94 near Coloma and began chasing the car, which was stolen at gunpoint earlier Saturday in Southfield.

The driver refused to stop, and began to flee at speeds up to 120 mph before exiting at Red Arrow Highway near Bridgman.

Police were able to stop the car with stop sticks in Union Pier, where the suspects got out and fled on foot.

A Pokagon Tribal Police officer detained the driver, while an MSP officer and K-9 unit located the passenger along some railroad tracks near U.S. 12.

A 9 mm handgun was thrown from the car during the chase but retrieved later in the day.

The teens are held at Berrien County Youth Center and face numerous charges relating to an alleged pistol-whipping while attempting to steal a car in Van Buren County, and armed robberies in Detroit.

No one was injured during the chase.
