SOUTH BEND — Indiana's presidential primary is Tuesday, and we have new evidence about just how interested voters are in this election. The St. Joseph County clerk tells us more than four times as many people have voted early or absentee compared to the primary four years ago.

Monday was the last day to vote early. The polls closed at noon for early and absentee voting.

County clerks told us we would set record numbers for early voting this year and that has happened. Many experts and voters alike say that's because of Indiana's important role in this election and because of the candidates involved.

"This is a historical moment, so why not get out and get my vote in?" said Tammie Acoff, who voted early.

If you didn't get your vote in early for this election, you can still cast your ballot on Tuesday. Polls are open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

To find out where your polling place is, go to WSBT.com’s Voter Resources.

Don't forget your valid photo ID. It must be government-issued, however most state college IDs will work as long as they have your picture and an expiration date on them.

If you don't have a valid ID, the BMV is extending its hours so you can get one. Branches are open Monday until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 6 a.m.-7 p.m.

I'm appalled at the negative, downright nasty comments posted by some people--who won't sign their names. I understand differences of opinion, but please, can't we be civil about disagreeing?

FACT; Obama not only supports, HE INTRODUCED legislation that would make it perfectly legal to allow infants(They are not embyo's anymore,INFANTS) that survive latter term abortions to lay on a table and die, the official ruling might be 'Natural causes' but the matter of fact is these babies would be dying, slowly, painfully, from neglect from medical professionals or the mother. That's called murder all day long! And our stinking local media coverage protects Obamas from meanies like me! PHFT
