LAKEVILLE — LaVille Jr.-Sr. High School was evacuated Monday afternoon after another bomb threat was found in the school.

The principal of the school told WSBT News a note was found that contained a generic threat. The school was evacuated and searched, and nothing was found. School is now back in session.

The St. Joseph County police say the school called to notify them of the threat.

The school was also evacuated on May 9 after threats were found written on the walls of two separate women’s bathrooms. Officers from St. Joseph County, Lakeville and LaPaz searched the school and nothing was found.

The school was placed on lockdown on April 4 after police were tipped that several students had weapons at the school. No weapons were found in that incident, but two students who were reportedly involved were taken to the Juvenile Justice Center for violating their probation by skipping school.

I think that these kids involved in these threats are not very bright because they dont seem to be able to control themselves.

LaVille IS a great school. There are always a few trouble makers, the problem is the troublemakers aren't being held responsible like they should. The kids attitudes passed on from parents is horrid. Parents need to grow up before they can expect their kids to grow up. I still have siblings in the school system and I am now worrying. 4:09 I'm sorry your child is being bullied, but I'm sure there are 2 sides. I know none of my classmates would have put up with this.

How am I the parent of one of the children acussed in the incident to help my son get threw all of this. Yes I agree that he should be punished for his actions. But don't you think that enough is enough. How much bullying and further acuations is he suppoused to go through? He is already in consuling, on probation/house arrest. What more must he do. He has also spent time in a juvinille facility. He is working odd and end jobs to pay fines and restitution. He is only 15.

This is why I pay for my kids to go to a private christian school. I couldn't spend everyday worrying about them in a public school.

Someone commented saying that teachers search the school and then call the police. This is not true considering i was there and all the teachers where outside with us while police/firemen looked inside.

This keeps happening in the schools and the teachers and "administration" dont understand why parents dont want their kids in school! Whether its pranks or not, schools are not safe any longer and its time everyone faces it. Remember earlier this year when a teacher stapled a note to a child's head in Plymouth????? Its time for different, better alternatives!

Judging by the comment from 3:47 PM Me not you these kids can't afford too much time outside of the class rooms. Better catch these guys before 2 2= Detroit!

5:49 PM anonymous That is protocol. The Police do not search. They do not know what is in an area, the Teachers and others that work there do. If they find something "out of Place" the Police are called.

I am telling you what, people are going to get sick and tire of the same stuff over and over, and then something is really going to happen. And another thing, there were no police involved with the searches, the principal had the teachers do a sweep of the building. the principal should be fired. Didn't follow protocol.

ok so you really think skipping class is that much fun... my friend and i came up with a theory ... the school smelled the asphalt that was being layed and thought that it was a bomb and sent us outside for 20-30 minutes... we were still in the same class... if you are writting these threats your just being rediculous b.c one of these days there is really gonna be a real one and no one is gonna believe it and WE WILL ALL DIE... ok maybe no but it was dramatic enough

I would advise them that evey time school is disrupted it will be added to the end of the year. A day or two out of summer vacation will either stop this or someone will snitch.
