Armed robbery reported at LaPorte bar

LaPorte police were investigating a robbery early Tuesday after a person was held at knifepoint at the Hilltop Bar.

Police were called to the bar, in the 500 block of Pulaski Street, shortly before midnight, dispatchers for the city said.

Few details have been released, but authorities said the robber fled with the victim's car in the direction of Michigan City.

There was no word on any injuries.
