PLYMOUTH — A Plymouth High School student has allegedly confessed to making a bomb threat last week.

PHS principal James Condon said Tuesday morning that authorities met with the minor, detailed the evidence they had and the student confessed.

Condon would not say whether the student has been expelled, but said school authorities are working with the Plymouth Police Department "to ensure that due process is followed."

The threat, which was written on the stall of a bathroom at the high school, indicated a bomb would be detonated at the school Friday. School officials, along with police, searched the building, made Friday an optional attendance day and continued classes.

Nothing suspicious was found during the searches and no bomb was detonated.

Condon said numerous students, parents, staff and teachers assisted police in determining the identify of the student who allegedly made the threat.

They do care they care that the people behind all this violence should be removed from school and locked up. Parents like you are why schools never become safe. Dont feel sry for my kids feel sry for your own that they will continue to live in a violent place because you dont let them have a back bone to stand up against high school criminals.

How do you 'Allegedly' confess. You mean he's only suspected of confessing? Do we have any witness's that he confessed. Evidence? Did he write a note? Piddle on the floor? How can we really be sure he in fact confessed. I'd hate to see him get all the way to the gas chamber and have someone shout, "WAIT! He only allegedly confessed. We have no proof that he did." So at that point they should only 'allegedly' execute him, right? Good Grief!

The article says the authorities "detailed the evidence they had and the student confessed." He didn't "step up" and admit yhe crime...he confessed after it became obvious that he was the culprit. "Pranks" like this are not funny...not in this day and age.

It's going to be hard to not show some amount of mercy to this youth for at least stepping up. It either took a lot of courage or he knew he would be caught and took the high road. Regardless, you cannot deter this type of behavior until someone is guilty of it for a fact. If this works out to be true and he did initiate the act he needs to be the messenger for all others of what they can expect if they decide to pull the same stunt. The ONLY thing going for this student is that he stepped up!
