A man who police say shot and killed his wife in Pulaski County died Saturday at NorthLake Methodist Hospital in Gary, according to the Pulaski County sheriff.

Police say Tomas Solano shot his wife, Denise, as she sat in a car in front of their house in Monterey on April 13.

Solano then fled to Michigan City where police say he shot himself in the head.

Police also arrested Timothy McCorkle of Monterey. They believe he provided Solano with the rifle, knowing he was going to use it to kill his wife.

Hey Denise's sis. If you knew they were having problems, why didn't you offer as much as a shoulder. Where were you?

For all of you people who think you know what your talking about, Denise should not have died and Tommy was hugely wrong for doing what he did. But, Denise was the one who abused her kids! and Tommy was defending her. This only shows that a person can only take so much before they snap. Tommy was a victim too.

Yuk it up big time people. HE didn't have a family that was already tortured by his actions weeks ago. You're not zinging anybody but the innocent people left behind, just as innocent as the person he claimed the life of. You folks kind of remind me of him. Ouch!

The whole world and his kids are better off with his death. He was a bomb waiting to explode, and he did. Sadly Denise lost her life due to his actions, but his death is justice!

I worked with Denise, and she did not deserve what this animal did. The only comfort I now have is the fact that the children will never have to be subjected to all the abuse this man inflicted on his wife. I hope the children know as they grow up that their mother loved them very much, and that they will never have to be around this animal ever again. Lets not forget Denise and the children, the real victims of this tragedy. I hope Tomas suffered, and now Denise can now RIP, your kids are safe.

I hope he suffered an unbearable amount prior to his death. They should have withheld all painkillers for this man. No mercy.
