UPDATE: Man injured in motorcycle crash dies from his injuries

ELKHART — Authorities say a motorcyclist traveling at a high rate of speed died as a result of injuries sustained when his bike crashed into a car Saturday evening.

Benjamin Snook, 28 of Goshen, was headed north on Indiana 19 when his bike veered left on the curve, south of North Shore Drive.

His motorcycle struck a car driven by Melissa Heintzberger, 31 of Osceola.

Snook was thrown from the motorcycle, and suffered multiple injuries in the crash. He was taken to Memorial Hospital where he later died.

Heintzberger sustained minor injuries in the crash.
