Emergency crews were sent to an accident on Interstate 94 early Tuesday.

The crash was reported in the eastbound lanes at mile marker 39 near Coloma, a Berrien County dispatcher said.

There were few details available about the 1:30 a.m. crash as crews remained on the scene about an hour later.

However, county authorities said at least one person was taken to Watervliet Community Hospital after the crash, and a Coloma police officer was also at the facility. Watervliet staff said the officer was there but unavailable to comment.
