UPDATE: Elkhart man arrested for nude mowing

ELKHART — The summer heat apparently was too much for an Elkhart man who needed to mow his lawn.

David Wilson, 31, was arrested shortly after 9 p.m. Friday for mowing his front lawn in the nude, according to Elkhart city police.

Officers were called to the home in the 2300 block of Cassopolis Street after receiving complaints about the nude mower.

As an officer pulled into the driveway of the home, Wilson, who was wearing only sandals and a dog collar around his neck, went into his garage and placed a towel over himself.

He was arrested on a charge of public indecency.
