STEVENSVILLE — Police are investigating an accident on Holden Road that left two injured late Tuesday.

According to authorities, an SUV was northbound at about 11:40 p.m. when driver Michael Murphy, 24, of Bridgman lost control and ran off the road, rolling the vehicle once. Murphy was found by responders in the road and unconscious. He is listed in critical condition at an area hospital.

Murphy’s passenger, Jeremy Gibson, 15, also of Bridgman, was seriously injured in the accident but his injuries are not considered life threatening.

Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt at the time, according to police, who said alcohol and speed are considered factors in the accident.
