SOUTH BEND — Second District Congressman Joe Donnelly officially announced his re-election bid Monday morning at Deluxe Sheet Metal.

Solutions for rising gas and food prices, the housing crisis and health care need bipartisan cooperation, the Granger Democrat said. He said he will continue to do what’s right and pledged to bring "common-sense Hoosier values" to Washington, D.C.

"We can’t wait for Washington to change," Donnelly said. "We need to keep working to change Washington. I’m as committed to that goal today as I was two years ago."

Donnelly is facing Republican Luke Puckett, of Goshen, in the November election.
