SOUTH BEND — Police officers are investigating three shootings that occurred overnight Friday into Saturday morning.

Police say a woman was shot in the abdomen Friday evening at the Charles Black Recreation Center, 3419 W. Washington. She was taken to Memorial Hospital before paramedics arrived.

A man who was possibly involved in that shooting was found at a home on North Diamond Avenue. He had been grazed in the head by a shot.

Shortly after 1 a.m., a man was shot in the abdomen near the 1100 block of N. Olive and Vassar Ave. The victim drove himself to a local hospital, according to police.

Authorities were later dispatched to the area of 1700 Lincoln Way East after a man was shot in the arm.

Suspects in all three incidents are still being sought by officers at this time.

SB used to be a great place to live and raise children. It's getting to be bad like the inner cities. I do not believe that a majority of the crimes committed are by people who grew up in SB. I believe it's people coming from Chicago, Detroit and other places corrupting our good town.
