WAKARUSA — A 48-year-old Bristol woman is dead after she was thrown from an SUV that collided with another vehicle.

Lamphay Sengvong was a rear passenger in the SUV driven by Latsamy Venevongsoth, a 49-year-old Bristol woman. Venevongsoth, who complained of pain afterward, was stopped on County Road 32 at the intersection of County Road 3.

Police say Venevongsoth pulled into the intersection into the path of a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Mark Bemiller of Wakarusa, who was driving south on County Road 3.

Venevongsoth’s SUV rolled over after the collision.

Bemiller was uninjured. Another passenger in Venevongsoth’s vehicle, 80-year-old Bristol man Phonxay Phimmasane , also complained of pain after the crash.

Sengvong was the only passenger in either vehicle not wearing a seat belt, according to police.

It's another sad example of by not buckling up, there is now a dead person. I feel sympathy for those left behind because of her carelessness, but no sympathy for her.
