Home near Bass Lake engulfed in flames

Starke County firefighters found a home fully ablaze early Monday south of Winona.

Units from Bass Lake were sent to the home in the 6700 block of South 700 East about 1:45 a.m. CDT.

Dispatchers for the Sheriff's Office said the home was occupied, but there was no initial word on whether anyone was still inside.

No information on the cause of the fire was released as crews continued to battle the flames.
