WARSAW – Indiana State Police arrested three men after the bust of a suspected marijuana-growing operation late Thursday netted more than 2,000 plants.

Troopers arrested two adults, 38 and 44, both of Goshen, and one 16-year-old boy while they were tending to the plants in a rural area of the county.

The men were taken to the Kosciusko County Jail and the juvenile male was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center in South Bend.

Police said the drug bust is one of the largest marijuana cultivation projects they have encountered.

Investigators estimated the value of the plot to be about $1,000 per plant.

State police ask residents to report suspicious activity around crop fields and outbuildings where the possibility of marijuana cultivating is suspected.

The Indiana State Police Marijuana Tip Line number is (888) 873-1694.
