SOUTH BEND – Police on the Indiana University South Bend campus are looking for suspects in two separate incidents involving a gun.

A student reported having a handgun pointed at him while he was standing near his parked vehicle in the 1700 block of Northside Boulevard about 7:30 a.m. Monday.

The student told the university’s police that a vehicle approached and a man inside the car said, "I could have killed you," and rested a handgun on the car’s door.

Police described the suspect as a black man in his mid 20s, 5-foot-10, with short hair and driving a dark green Pontiac Grand Prix.

In an incident Saturday, another man reported being robbed at gunpoint behind Riverside Hall.

Police said the man had been fishing and was walking up the bank about 4:30 p.m. when he was approached by two men, who displayed a silver handgun and demanded money.

The victim refused to give any money and was hit by one of the suspects. The two men then ran away.

Police described the men as 20-year-old black men. One was 6-foot-3, weighing about 170 pounds and wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. The other man was 5-foot-11, weighing 150 pounds, wearing a white shirt and blue shorts.

Campus police continue to investigate both incidents.
