Man arrested after woman raped in her South Bend homeTribune Staff ReportSOUTH BEND — Police arrested a man Tuesday after he was accused of raping a woman in her home. Police said a 55-year-old woman reported being raped by a 41-year-old acquaintance, who, she said, was doing work at her home on the city’s west side. The woman told police he waited until they were alone, attacked her and raped her, before fleeing on foot. The woman then called police, who were able to find the man in an alley a few blocks from the woman’s home. Police arrested the man, accusing him of rape, battery and criminal confinement.
