Fire, water damage Linden Grill in South Bend

SOUTH BEND — Fire authorities are investigating the cause of a Saturday evening fire at the Linden Grill and Grocery in South Bend.

The blaze was reported at 8:45 p.m. at the business, located in the 1400 block of West Linden Avenue.

Firefighters found water pouring from the building when they arrived and discovered a small fire in the kitchen, the South Bend Fire Department said in a release.

About $10,000 in damage was done to the building, including water damage, department authorities said.
