2 Michigan men charged in homicide of man buried in yard

SOUTH BEND — Two Michigan men have been charged, one with murder, in connection with the homicide of 58-year-old Randy Guyberson, whose body was found Sunday buried in his own back yard.

Nathaniel Richerson, 19, faces one count of murder and one count of theft, a D felony.

Mathew Weidler, 27, faces one count of assisting a criminal, a class C felony, and one count of theft, a class D felony.

Guyberson’s body was found in the back yard of his home in the 200 block of East Dayton Street. He had been stabbed multiple times and struck with a blunt object.

Both defendants remain at the St. Joseph County Jail.
