SOUTH BEND — A fire that destroyed portions of a duplex Thursday has been called arson.

Fire investigators have determined the fire started on the outside porch of the home in the 2600 block of Huron Street.

The exact method used to start the fire is unknown, but investigators believe it was intentionally set.

No one was injured in the blaze, but four people living in the front half of the duplex had to evacuate the property.
