BENTON HARBOR — A judge has thrown out a lawsuit challenging the Harbor Shores project and its use of Jean Klock Park.

Opponents had filed suit arguing public land should not be used for private development. They were specifically referring to plans for a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.

Supporters of the Harbor Shores project called Friday's decision a major victory. They feel the golf course will actually increase public use of the park.
