SOUTH BEND — A 16-year-old boy told police he was stabbed in the arm by a man he didn’t know who showed up at his door Thursday.

Police said the teenager told them somebody knocked on his door in the 2700 block of West Hartzer Street about 3:30 p.m. and wanted to fight with him.

The teenager told police the two started to have a fist fight but the other man pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the left forearm.

Police said the teenager was treated at a local hospital.
