SOUTH BEND — South Bend firefighters remained on the scene of a house fire Wednesday morning after they were called to the 1400 block of West Indiana Avenue.

The fire was reported just before 4:15 a.m. Crews arrived to find the home engulfed in flames that threatened to spread to an adjoining house.

City 911 dispatchers said there were no injuries reported in the blaze.

The cause of the fire was not immediately available and remains under investigation.
