MISHAWAKA — Police are looking for a man who they believe may have robbed the Credit Union Center in Mishawaka for the second time in about a month.

The man entered the credit union near the corner of Hickory and Edison roads at 12:22 p.m. Wednesday, displayed a long gun and demanded money.

The suspect is described as approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and 135-140 pounds. He was wearing a faded red hooded sweatshirt backward with eye holes cut in the hood, according to Asst. Chief Mike Samp of the Mishawaka Police Department.

After grabbing the money he left in an older red Dodge Dakota pickup truck with an extended cab. The truck had no license plate and tinted windows, police said.

The suspect and his getaway vehicle match the same descriptions in the robbery of the Credit Union Center last month.

South Bend police assisted Mishawaka police at the scene, which is near the border between the two cities.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 288-STOP or the Mishawaka Police Detective Bureau at 258-1684.
