ELKHART — A man went to the hospital in critical condition Wednesday night after an apparent argument with one of his neighbors, according to the Elkhart Police Department.

Police report that Angel L. Torres, 60, suffered a head injury, collapsed lung, broken jaw and broken ribs.

They report finding him outside about 11:40 p.m. laying in a pool of blood outside of his home in the 1200 block of West Indiana Avenue. He lives in a house split into several apartments. He was taken to Elkhart General Hospital.

The Homicide Unit is looking into the case because of Torres’ injuries.

Police say they spoke with the neighbor with whom Torres had an argument and several other witnesses.

No arrests have been made so far. There is at least one other person that investigators want to interview, police report.
