SOUTH BEND — A 19-year-old South Bend man was found lying unconscious in the street Friday after a fight outside a pool hall.

According to South Bend police, about 2 a.m., the man was punched in the face by an unidentified male outside Oscar’s Billiard Club, 1902 South Bend Ave.

Witnesses told police the suspect fled in a gold Chevy Malibu. A car matching that description was stopped at the corner of South Bend Avenue and Edison Road.

The driver of the Malibu told police he was taking his brother, who had been hit with a pool stick at Oscar’s, to the hospital.

Witnesses could not identify either of the brothers as the suspect.

I thought you had to be 21 to get into Oscars?

Jason, why are you calling someone names if you have no idea of what you are saying is true. I am not a druggie and I agree with the writer. We put too many people in prison with drug problems. However, we have no clue as to why this guy was unconcious. Stop being so quick to judge.

Anonymous is probably a druggy. Ignore him and let's keep those crackheads locked up. Look how well it's working so far! How long have we been at this drug war now? I say give it 20-30 more years and we're probably gonna see some solid results. We just have to stick with it, folks!

If you didn't write your rep to tell them to keep violent people in a cage and to stop over crowding the cages with people who have drug problems, you have no right to complain and you have no right to wave the flag.
