ST. JOSEPH, Mich. — Police are trying to figure out how a St. Joseph man died.

The man's son found his body at a home in the 700 block of State Street just after 1 p.m. Friday. Police say the man was in his late 40s.

Investigators say the body was extremely decomposed, making the cause of death difficult to determine.

They say there's no reason to believe the public is in any danger.

So sad that noone missed this person for so long that he was decomposed when found. Why'd it take the son so long to look for his father? I'm sure there's more to this story but it is sad.
