Rain cancels Salmon Chase Race

SOUTH BEND -- Race organizers canceled Saturday morning's Salmon Chase Race downtown South Bend because of rain and a tornado watch.

They're asking people who had registered to race to return their race chips to the College Football Hall of Fame.

Organizers say there will be no makeup date, and no refunds, but they say people who signed up this year will receive a big discount next year.
