LaPorte man may face additional bank robbery chargesMOULTON, Ala. (AP) — Authorities say an Indiana man charged in Saturday's robbery of a Moulton bank is a suspect in similar holdups. Moulton Police Chief Lyndon McWhorter said 29-year-old Mark A. Smith of Laporte, Ind., likely will face charges for recent bank robberies in Cullman, Ala., and Glaskow, Ky. Smith was arrested last Sunday in Florence after police received a tip on his whereabouts from a motel clerk. Smith is being held in the Lawrence County Jail on bonds totaling $30,000. |
