KNOX — Four Knox high school students are in custody for their involvement in what police say was a burglary ring dating back to February.

Police arrested the 16- and 17-year-old boys last Monday.

Investigators believe they hit at least 15 different businesses around Starke, Marshall, and Pulaski counties. Police say they stole electronics and cash from the stores.

The boys could be waived to adult court during a hearing next Monday, and may face felony burglary charges.

I agree with you 100% upset.. if it would of been any other kids you can bet they would be spending some time! Then the so called star football player gets two counts dimissed..hmm wonder why? Maybe money does talk or maybe ratting out others! They didnt want to loose his scholarship..well he should of thought about that b4 he done it! So now no felony charges! They go with thier lives how about the people they robbed of hard earn money!! They dont care they get every thing handed to them!!!

from what I see and hear all they are going to get is a slap on the hand! They were charged as "juveniles" what is the court system thinking? then Mccan gets two counts dismissed for ratting out others..or maybe was it because he was supposely some football star and didnt want to loose his scholarship..wonder who got paid for that one? they did the crime so let them do the time!!

Regardless of everything else, these boys NEED to be in school. There shouldn't be 1 parent upset about them being there. Keeping them FROM school would only aide in turning them into full fledged criminals. Once these boys get their sentence and fulfill their punishment they should be allowed to get on with their lives and hopefully become better people all around.

Get this straight...Not all these boys are "star" football players w/ "BIG" names in town. I know 2 of these boys have hard working parents that HAVE taught them right from wrong. No one can explain WHY these boys went along with their friends on this. Also, these 4 boys aren't being accused of robbing 15 different businesses. These boys did a horrible thing and WILL be made to pay for it by the court...retribution will be made to all the businesses that they are being charged w/ robbing.

I had to leave Knox about 10 years ago, because I'd gotten a job in a neighboring county and thought I'd save driving time and gas money. I spent my nights listening to sirens blaring, and people screaming at each other as they walked the streets. I sat in my living room, heard sirens, looked out the window and saw policmen all around. I found out the next day that a man had been stabbed and killed right across from where I lived. I got so homesick, within months I came back home.

And I say, don't just give them a "slap" on the wrist either!!! People have got to learn there are consequences to the wrong choices they make!!

These were very responsible & hard working kids, everyone was actually quite shocked and ashamed. We pray for them, their families, and even more for the victims.

ME, You're so tough and cool. I admire your love of medieval nostalgia and the way you do your own thing when you butcher the English language. Were you in 'Stripes' with Bill Murray? I swear that was you telling everyone to 'keep their meathooks of my stuff' or you'd, what exactly was it you said...'kill 'em'? Just joking ME, please don't hunt me down and beat me up.

And they are complaining that they will lose their football scholarships if convicted. Too bad should of thought of that first. Back in the day they would hang you for stealing. I think we should go back to them days, and then maybe everyone would leave everybody's hard earned stuff alone. I hope they try them as adults!!
