New details revealed in PHM teacher child seduction caseBrooke Biggs (Photo provided) MISHAWAKA — Prosecutors filed two felony child seduction charges against a Grissom Middle School teacher Friday. Police arrested Brooke Biggs at an Osceola home Thursday. Biggs teaches seventh and eighth grade PE at Grissom. She also coaches at Penn High School. PHM says the alleged victim is a 16-year-old female high school student. The Family Violence/Special Victims Unit started its investigation in July after the teen's parents contacted police. They had forbidden their daughter from talking to Biggs and took away her cell phone. But they caught her sneaking out to see Biggs. Court documents allege Biggs bought the girl a new cell phone, and the two exchanged thousands of explicit text messages. Police say Biggs admitted to having an inappropriate relationship with the girl. The school put Biggs on administrative leave September 4. It is the few bad teachers that make it hard for teachers to want to make those connections with kids that some of them so depserately need. I know this issue is just heating up and I feel for all of those involved, but the other innocent victim is going to be the educational process. If she murdered someone they would have charged her as an adult. So what is she a child or an adult. SHE CAN'T BE BOTH. You have published her pictures many times for the good things she has done in the community. This picture influences people to judge her harshly. If yo must run a picture for goodness sake find a different one! Friday, Oct 3 at 6:37 PM Kevin wrote ...naughty woman shame on y0u and commit and awful sin. God will punish you to hell. I hope this serves as a lesson to all who immediately blamed the victim because Biggs is such a wonderful educator. It is so embarrased for a teacher to do this to their students. Who can they trust now? May be her personality does not fit her interest and she should have known that children are to protect and intruct in good conduct and manners. Is she divorced? Were is her husband and what does he do? May be he is to blame. He did not provide her with affection and attention that she really needed. Some husbands are so busy with their work overload that they forget a wife. Add a comment |
