The roadway cleared, Indiana 114 between U.S. 24 and Indiana 9 along the Whitley County line reopened mid-morning Sunday after an accident involving a cattle truck.

The Indiana State Police said the east-west road was closed about 12:30 a.m. Sunday in both directions after the accident.

It took several hours for the cattle to be unloaded from the truck and the vehicle to be towed away before the road could reopen, ISP said.

The driver of the cattle truck, which veered off the road, suffered minor injuries in the accident, and no one else was involved.
