Police: Woman fatally stabbed boyfriend in Van Buren County

HARTFORD, Mich. (AP) — Authorities have arrested the girlfriend of a 45-year-old man who was stabbed to death in his southwestern Michigan apartment during an argument.

Van Buren County sheriff's Lt. Bryan Stump says the man died early Sunday in his Hartford apartment, about 60 miles southwest of Grand Rapids.

Stump says the man and his 47-year-old girlfriend had been arguing on the way to his apartment. It escalated when they arrived.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

His girlfriend is being held in the county jail and is to be arraigned in district court in Paw Paw.

Renee, it's NOT funny, it's sad! It's so sad and happens so often that after a while you just realize that these are the values some people embrace and unfortunately the underestimate their own actual worth in the deal. I'm not laughing at someone getting stabbed to death, I'm mocking the mentality that someone must have to say 'This is worth killing them and spending the rest of my life in prison.(not likely).
