Big Brother Big Sisters matches adult volunteer mentors with local children, most of whom live in single parent households. "This is a really exciting time for us," said Deborah Burrow, the executive director of the non-profit. Burrow said last year the agency served more than 300 children. "The secret to our longevity is that we live in a very generous community that supports Big Brothers Big Sisters." Burrows says the non-profit is hosting a celebration party on October 18. Guests are encouraged to wear 60s costumes to the themed party. "We have some great auction items you can't buy in the store, like Paul McCartney and Eric Clapton guitars," Burrow said.
