ROCHESTER — Authorities are looking for an Akron teen being held on burglary and arson charges who escaped from Fulton County Sheriff’s personnel Monday.

Police said Trevor Williams, 18, of the 1000 Block of North Lakeshore Drive, Akron, escaped on foot when he was taken from the Fulton County Jail by special operations unit officers to Akron to help in the arson investigation.

Williams and Brady Shepherd, 18, of the 3000 block of South Indiana 19, Mentone, were arrested in connection with a Sept. 18 fire in Akron that caused $350,000 damage to a structure filled with hay.

Police said Williams will now face additional charges of escape and theft.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department at (574) 223-2819. Anyone assisting Williams in remaining at-large, police said, could face a felony charge of assisting a criminal.

That's the problem with Fulton County if it's in the Rochester Sentinel, it's gospel. With your vast knowledge of what was in his cup, did you ever contact the County Sheriff or the State Police?

OBVIOUSLY SOME OF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE LEGAL SYSTEM WHEN A JUVENILE IS INVOLVED YOU ALSO MUST GO THROUGH PROBATION AND THIS IS WHERE THE PROBLEM IS IN FULTON COUNTY . TREVOR JUST TURNED 18 IN THE LAST MONTH ALSO PARENTS RAISE KIDS AND ARE SUPPOSED TO BE THE ROLE MODEL AT LEAST THAT'S HOW IT IS IN MY HOUSE.

A5 you must not read the paper much. There was a huge article in yesturdays paper about what Trevor has done. As far as saying that the prosecuter he has to have a report from the police to file charges and if the Akron cops would do there jobs maybe Trevor would have never been able to set the fire or anything else he has done lately because hw would have already been in jail. The kid use to walk around town with alcohol in a cup and be drunk and the cops did nothing.

Maybe you should proof read what you type before hitting the submit button so you don't SEEM dumb. Or, should I say maybe you should educate YOUself more? Are you even here legally?

The police make a report. That gets passed onto the prosecutor. Prosecutor decides if the case should go to court. Do you think the prosecutor just pulls incidents out of the air? The main point is there's no REPORTS being made by the cops about anything the Akron cop's kid does. No articles of the incidents in the local paper either. You must not be a local. If you were, you'd be smart enough about this situation, I wouldn't have to explain it or could it be a guilty conscience?

doesn't matter who you blame prosecuters, cops, judge, whatever, they're not doing their jobs and that's why fulton county is becoming a crime cess pool

The police are not the ones who decide if charges are filed, that is the responsibility of the Prosecutor. Educate youself before you make any more dumb remarks.

You're right it is the parent's job to raise the children. It's also a cop's job to follow the laws & file charges on those who commit crimes. The cop's have NOT done their job with this boy and with the son of the Akron cop. The Akron cop has always chosen to look the other way when his son has done something. His problems started when he was in elementary! Obviously you don't live in the area or you would know exactly what I'm talking about without having to go into details.

You are putting the blame towards the police for the outcome of this child. Their job is not to raise our children. The people responsible are the parents..

I am sure that Trevor is fimiliar with the Fulton County Police since he has a record. It is to bad that Trevor turned out the way he did. He could have been a good kid if the police and parents would have done something when he was young.I hope they find him and put him behind bars before he hurts someone or gets hurt.

The boy must be familiar with the Fulton County Police Dept. lol

Let me guess the kid told them they had to go to the scene of the crime for him to tell them what happened. Nice police work.

Looks like Trevor's thieving punk days are about to end! Had the authorities taken care of him when he was a younger teen, maybe he wouldn't have caused so much damage lately. Watch out Akron cop...your kid may just be next on the wanted list! Daddy can only cover for him for so long.
