Teen shot on Walnut Street

SOUTH BEND — Police are on the scene of a shooting on the west side of South Bend.

A teenager was reportedly shot in the back in the 500 block of South Walnut Street near Huron Street just after 5 p.m.

The suspects escaped in a black SUV and fled to a residence in the 400 block of Walnut Street.

The SWAT team is surrounding a home in the area, and police have blocked off streets near Western Avenue and Pulaski Street.

We know officers have taken two people from a house on Pulaski, but they haven't said if the two are suspects in the shooting.
