WARSAW — An anonymous tip led the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force to a possible mobile meth lab in Warsaw on Monday.

At 5:30 p.m. police were told about a meth lab operating out of a vehicle at Valley Forge Apartments on 3100 Frontage Road. Warsaw Police Cpl. Al Danko’s K-9, Pako, indicated a “hit” on the vehicle, and a search warrant was obtained.

Products used in meth production were found in the vehicle, according to police. The owner of the vehicle, 18-year-old Ashley Elliott, was found in her apartment and arrested.

Meth precursors were also found in the apartment. Elliott’s child was removed and sent to Child Protective Services, then placed into the custody of other family members.

All hazardous materials were removed by Indiana State Police and Kosciusko DTF.

Elliott was arrested on charges of felony dealing methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, possession of meth precursor, and neglect of a dependent.

Also arrested inside the apartment were 23-year-old Jerrad Michael Schlemmer on an outstanding Kosciusko County warrant for failure to appear, and 18-year-old Zachary James Lee on an outstanding White County warrant for probation violation. Both men are from Mentone.
