SYRACUSE — Police found meth, cash, and guns – some with serial numbers filed off – along with a working meth lab in rural Kosciusko County.

Troopers with the Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Unit arrested two men Wednesday morning who were operating a meth lab out of a shed on North Holiday Lane near Papakeechie Lake.

They found close to three grams of meth, nearly $1,600 in cash, material for meth production, marijuana, and several guns.

David R. Leak, 46, and James J. Miller, 39, of Rome City were arrested. Leak was preliminarily charged with manufacturing and possession of methamphetamine, and possession of marijuana. Miller was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Both will face federal charges.
