MISHAWAKA — Police say a man carrying a shotgun robbed a Subway restaurant Saturday night.

Police were called to the Subway at 2315 Lincoln Way W. about 6:30 p.m., after the man entered the restaurant and demanded money.

Two people were inside the dining room when the man entered, showed the shotgun to an employee and demanded money.

The clerk emptied the cash register of about $200 and handed it to the man, who ran out of the store.

Police believe the suspect — described as a white male, 6 feet tall, weighing more than 200 pounds and wearing a red hooded sweatshirt — climbed into the passenger seat of an older model four-door car and left, headed east.
