BOURBON — Triton Jr.-Sr. High School will hold classes Wednesday despite three anonymous death threats found at the school since Nov. 4.

Superintendent Carl Hilling said in a letter to parents and school supporters on the corporation Web site that officials have "taken the necessary steps to have a safe educational environment" that day.

He also said police will be on the school’s campus to provide additional security.

Parents will not be allowed to enter either buildings during school hours Wednesday, and any students scheduled for appointments outside the school that day should remain at home, Hilling said.

Additionally, parents who take their children to school may not remain in the car, or leave the car unattended. Instead, they are asked to pull up, let the child out of the car, and move on. Hilling said that procedure will "greatly reduce the potential of distracting law enforcement officials from their duty of protecting the students and staff ..."
