MISHAWAKA – Police used a Taser to subdue a man Thursday after a suspected mobile meth lab was discovered at a Mishawaka home.

Police were initially called to the home in the 300 block of South Beiger Street about 10:30 a.m. Thursday on a domestic violence complaint.

A woman living in the home told police that she and her 42-year-old boyfriend had been fighting, and that she had been hit several times in the back of the head.

As the woman and man talked with police, the woman told officers that there was a methamphetamine lab in the bed of the man’s pickup truck.

Police attempted to handcuff the man, but he tried to run. An officer grabbed the man, but he continued struggling, leading Cpl. Steve Headley to use a Taser.

Police arrested the man and he was taken to the St. Joseph County jail.

Investigators from the Indiana State Police and South Bend’s Metro Special Operations unit were called to collect and dispose of the meth lab materials.

8:43, thank you. A fan club! Mom would be so proud. She always said she never wanted to see one of her kids on a wanted poster but I think she'd bust with pride seeing one on a bumper sticker. Go for it! Send half of whatever you get to Childrens Make a Wish Foundation.

I have NEVER seen an "inappropriate" comment from Cornfusion and I think you are the one that needs to quit reading them if you don't like them and also needs to stop posting...ok. Breathe...that really honks me off. He's funny, truthful and ironic. He makes me laugh when I really need to and you people that don't like what he has to say are REALLY p*****g me off. As a matter of fact, I'm thinking of starting a fan club. How do you like that? Here's a quarter. Buy a sense of humor!!!

Tazer the guy again! If I'd been the cop, I'd have zapped him a few more times just for fun.

4:22, calm down. Relax. Look at the bright side. People who like me will appreciate that WSBT publishes 50% of what I write. People who don't like me can rejoice in knowing WSBT doesn't publish 50% of what I write. See? And you thought it worth getting shook up over. Go have yourself a Hot Pocket.

Here is an idea. Stop writing. I will continue to write WSBT everytime I see an inappropriate comment from you, and pretty soon they will get sick of you and stop printing your inane comments.

Meth labs are here to stay and they will become so small youll be able to take in your wedding ring. And if need some of that bad stuff just sniff at it and your are going so high up where no one cant get you down and when you realize that you have been so high for a long time you come down and will have the hit of your life. Get it? Some one has to go house to house searching for the creeps that loves to see a rented house go up in flames and then dissapear in thin air. The home owner has to do

Troy, I think no matter what precautions we take, these people will always find a way. Substitute this for that and that for this. To Freedom, LOL. That was good.

I don't know what it could be either, Cornfusion, but I will tell you one thing. You change you and it will ruffle MY feathers!! I wish I had a knickle for everytime you have made me laugh so hard, I almost fall off my chair. Don't you dare change a thing...they don't print alot of my stuff either, for I am suspecting, the same reason. =D.

Isn't this the third meth lab in Mishawaka this month. Princess City...no way??? I think mayor Rea needs to look at increasing the police department instead of expanding the parks department. Buetter park is nice until the Mishawaka meth heads start taking it over. More police, save Mishawaka before it becomes another 21st Century City.....aka South Bend. Need I say more.

I thought moving the cold medicine behind the counter was going to solve this problem. Maybe the government was wrong.

I've seen comments posted as late as 6:30 but not one of several I submitted at 2PM. I do see where I have apparently managed to ruffle a few more feathers, and I do appreciate the kind words of compliment and defense from others. Maybe it's a technological glitch. Maybe it's a WSBT thing, I don't know but I do know this, I can't change it! And I can't change me.

The police should have increased the voltage, saved the trouble of hard working non law breaking tax payiers from having to provide him with a place to sleep and feed him for the winter. Wait a second plus he don't have to get up and go to work. What Iam I thinking. This guys going to be living better then me. Anyone have the formulation for Meth they could share with me.

Its disgusting that these poor addicts are forced to make their drugs in such horrible places. We hear of them blowing up apartments and woods and everything. Why doesn't the County set up some nice safe labs for them to work in, like those fix it yerself garages they have now. They could have instructors on hand to show them how to do it properly. Maybe the cold medicine companies could sponsor it and send some chemists to volunteer. We'd all be a bit safer. Just a thought, happy holidays!

So what's the future of these meth labs? Will they be like computers and mobile phones and become smaller and smaller? Can we expect wrist m-labs and flip m-labs soon? Ooooh, a razr m-lab...cool.
