GOSHEN — Supreme Industries Inc., a company that makes specialized commercial vehicles, is preparing to deliver Indiana’s first district mobile command center vehicle.

It’s part of a $2.1 million contract from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.

The company on Monday will present the first completed mobile command center vehicle to representatives of Dearborn County, which is in southeastern Indiana.

The vehicle, with a satellite dish on top, looks similar to a TV news live truck. The mobile command centers include communication systems that will be inter-operational with each other and with the state’s Homeland Security command base.

The company has a contract to produce four additional mobile command center vehicles that will be used throughout the state.
