Mishawaka council approves police contract

MISHAWAKA — Mishawaka Common Council members approved a contract giving their police officers a 2 percent raise next year.

The two-year contract with the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 91 was approved Monday night. It goes into effect Jan. 1.

Police and city negotiators agreed on the raise more than a month ago but have been working out details of the contract.
